Kingsport City Schools Board of Education to Hold Special Called Meeting

KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The Kingsport City Schools Board of Education will hold a special called meeting on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 6 p.m. in the Tennessee Room at the KCS Administrative Support Center, 400 Clinchfield Street, third floor, downtown Kingsport. All Board meetings are open to the public.

The purpose of this special called business meeting is to consider approval of an employment contract with Dr. Jeff Moorhouse to serve as KCS Superintendent of Schools. Additionally, the Board Work Session originally scheduled for Tuesday, January 23, 2018 has been rescheduled and will take place immediately following the called meeting on January 22, 2018. 

Kingsport City Schools (KCS) is a public school district located in Kingsport, Tenn., serving students in Sullivan and Hawkins county. The district is comprised of 13 schools, including a Pre-K, eight elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school, a high school program of choice and an alternative learning program; with total enrollment over 7,700 students.
